At Kiddies World, we understand that choosing the right setting for your family is a significant decision. We've compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help you understand our pricing structure, enrolment process, and what makes us unique.
What age range does Kiddies World cater for?
We accept children from age 2-4 years for our playgroup and wraparound services.
Our Baby/Toddler group is suitable from birth to nursery age.
Is there a minimum number of sessions I need to book?
No, there is no minimum number of sessions required to attend. We do ask that we have advance notice of the days you wish to book and that you attend the same days each week (unless pre authorised change).
We are able to accommodate shift patterns during our quieter periods, however this is not guaranteed.
Do you cater for allergies/dietary and cultural requirements?
Yes, we strictly adhere to any allergy plans.
Dietary requirements are adhered to within reason (i.e. vegetarian/vegan).
We welcome all cultures and backgrounds and will work with families to ensure we are adhering to any cultural requirements.
Do the children have access to both indoor and outdoor provision?
In line with the Curriculum for Wales we encourage as much outdoor play as possible (in all weathers!)
We try to provide as many sensory and real life experiences as possible both indoors and outdoors.
We aim to offer a free flow play system where possible for the children to freely access where their interests takes them.
Do children need to be toilet trained?
No. We support children at whatever stage they’re at in their toileting journey. Our staff are experienced and will work with you to support your child’s progress.
Do I need to pack anything into my child's bag?
We ask that you please provide nappies (if not toilet trained), wipes, change of clothing, sun hat/sun cream (weather dependent), waterproofs/wellies.
We ask that toys from home are not brought to setting, however if your child has a comforter, you are more than welcome to pack this into their bag.
What is your staff-child ratio?
We follow CIW guidelines for staff ratios to ensure every child gets the care and attention they need. Our team is qualified, experienced, and passionate about early years development.
How much does it cost to attend?
Our fees vary depending on the session your child attends. Please contact us directly or visit our pricing section of the website for up to date information.
Do you offer funded places?
Yes, we accept 30-hour childcare funding, Flying Start, Early Education Entitlement where applicable. If you're unsure whether you're eligible, we're happy to help guide you through the process.
How do I pay fees?
Invoices are issued weekly in advance and payments can be made by bank transfer. All payment details will be provided upon registration. We also accept payments from the tax free childcare account.
What happens if my child is absent?
Fees are still payable if your child is absent due to illness or other reasons. This is because staffing and running costs remain the same, and your child’s place is held for them. Exceptions are made for holidays/medical appointments. All information is provided in your starter pack.
Do I have to pay for bank holidays or closures?
We do not charge for bank holidays. If the setting is closed for planned reasons (e.g. staff training), we will let you know in advance and clarify whether fees apply.
How do I secure a place for my child?
You can register your interest by phone, email or completing the form available on our contact us page. We recommend early booking as spaces are limited.
